An Iconic Setting

Ilkeliani is where the Wilder story started. Sitting on the banks of the Talek River, connected to the main reserve by a footbridge, it occupies a game-rich stretch of the Masai Mara where wildlife can be seen from the viewing decks. The central lounge connects indoor and outdoor dining areas, and the kitchen draws from an organic garden grown on site, ensuring every meal is prepared with the freshest ingredients. Twelve tented suites overlook the river, each elevated on stilts with large wooden decks and detachable canvas sides that open fully onto the view beyond.

East & West Wing Luxury

Ilkeliani's grounds are generous, giving the camp a sense of space that carries through to the suites spreading across an East and West Wing: Premier Suites and Family Suites in the East, Deluxe Suites and Family Suites in the West. The Premier Suites are finished in natural hues and soft textures that create a warm atmosphere. The Deluxe Suites draw on earthy tones with pops of green, inspired by the landscape that surrounds them. Each suite features an ensuite bathroom, private decking, and detachable canvas sides that look out onto the river.

Wilder, Together

With a capacity of up to 30 guests, Ilkeliani is one of the most naturally suited camps in the Wilder portfolio for families and groups travelling together. Children of all ages are welcome, and the camp is fully accessible for guests with mobility needs. The pool and spa offer a place to pause between drives, and for those wanting to see the Mara from a different angle entirely, a hot air balloon safari adds an extra element of adventure.

Game Drive

Game drives are the heart of a Wilder safari, taking guests out at sunrise and again before sunset across Kenya's most remarkable ecosystems. Open-sided game viewers, expert guides, and the variety of wildlife found across the Masai Mara, Ol Pejeta, and Lake Nakuru make every drive different from the last.

Great Migration

Watch the Great Migration from the banks of the Mara River at Wilder's Masai Mara camps. Each year between July and October, more than a million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle move north from the Serengeti, with the river crossings the most dramatic moment of one of Earth's greatest wildlife events.

Hot Air Balloon

Rise with the sun on a hot air balloon safari over the Masai Mara. Drift across the open plains as the herds wake and the light changes, followed by a champagne breakfast on the savannah. Available at Wilder's Masai Mara properties.
