Exlusively Yours

Lerai Safari Camp occupies a quieter corner of the Masai Mara ecosystem, set on the Olerai Conservancy with 3,500 of its 5,000 acres reserved for Wilder guests. The camp delivers the game viewing the Mara is known for without the vehicles that so often come with it. Natural materials and textures shape the design, and the lounge and dining areas open directly onto a waterhole visited daily by giraffe, eland, zebra and baboons. The pool sits between the trees, and beyond it, open plains and wildlife corridors stretch as far as the eye can see.

Tucked Between The Trees

With only eight tents, every stay at Lerai Safari Camp is an intimate one. Resting beneath olive trees and bougainvillea, each traditional safari tent is surrounded by greenery. Inside, a botanical fabric featuring doum palms and tropical foliage runs from the ceiling down to the headboard while black and white prints and shades of ochre create a warm ambience throughout.

Explore More

Being in a private conservancy means more safari activities and less people. Daily game drives cover plenty Maasai giraffe, eland, plains game and if you're lucky, you may spot our resident leopard. After dark, night drives offer the chance to encounter the conservancy's nocturnal residents, aardvarks, civets and more. On foot with a Maasai tracker, the same landscape reads differently on a walking safari, slower and closer, with tracks, scent and birdsong filling in what may be missed from a vehicle. Guests may also visit local Maasai villages, spending time with the communities whose land and livelihoods are interwoven with our conservancy.
